Monument Valley - Review

It's been a long while now since my last game review. Hope I'm not too rusty on this one.

I don't usually play mobile games, let alone review them. But ever since I started university, I never have much time at home to play console games or PC games anymore. So I chose the next best alternative. Mobile games. Will you see more mobile game reviews from now on? maybe and maybe not. It all depends on what I'm playing at the moment.

This week I happen to finish Monument Valley, A stylish and calm puzzle game developed by UsTwo (what a sweet name) released for Android and iOS on April, 2014. To sum monument valley up in a nutshell... it's slick, smooth and you'll be left wishing they had made DLC for the game.

Gaming in the Good ol' Days

A couple of days ago I got an email from Man Crates, A company that designs gifts for dudes in the form of, literally, a big ass crate. Their retro gaming crate being one of their more popular ones, they asked me to write a post about my gaming nostalgia.

Up to Speed | Press Pause

I made a post about how I'm going to be making a few changes in the blog starting from now and this post right here is one of them. It's an entirely new section called Press Pause.

This section of the blog will be where I post about once a week - I'll try to be as hard as possible to be regular - about things that aren't about games. I've come to realize that my passion for gaming isn't as strong as it used to be when I started this blog and I guess I'll have to live with that. I've simply gained different interests but I still do play games. Especially now since I just got the PS4 - It's KICK-ASS by the way.

Some things will be changing

Okay, so if you've read my last post you'd know that I had just gotten back into blogging. And I've been trying to come out with post ideas (not including reviews since I can't pump those out regularly enough, but I'll still make them though) to no avail. So I've decided to change the approach of GamerTrust abit.

Don't worry, it won't be anything drastic like changing the name of the blog or anything. What I'll do is, I'll make a structured schedule for posting. I haven't made one as of yet but I'm still in the process. I also want to do something besides games in this blog. Yes, I know that the name of the blog is "GamerTrust" so it should be about games but lately, I've just been uninterested in games. I'd rather try and write movie reviews and see how that goes.

Originally, I wanted to write movie reviews of films that I've wached, new or old because it sounded easier to do. Compare, reviewing a 2 hour movie with a 30 hour game, of course the movies would be easier. Whether it'll be good or not, I don't know but it never hurts to try right?

Another thing that I'd like to implement in GamerTrust is a section where I discuss non-gaming related stuff. Maybe a book I read or a sport I've been enjoying lately or something funny that's happened. I've actually been wanting to do a section like this even before I stopped posting stuff, I was just afraid that it wouldn't suit the style of my blog. Then I rememberd: it's my blog, I can do whatever I want with it :P

Anyways, yeah, that's basically all the changes that will be coming soon. Hope you guys enjoy and share the blog with your friends!

I'm Back!

Hi there viewers, I know I've been absent for a very long time and it seems like I just dissapeared without any news and I'd like to apologize for that. I've been mainly busy with university life and also I just haven't been so interested in games that much.

After a while, I came back to visit GamerTrust for old time's sake, and I was shocked with how many views I'd amassed without even touching the blog. It wasn't by the thousands but it has definitely increased the last time I saw it. In a nostalgic state already, I decided to read through a few of my articles and I remembered what it was like. The passion, seeing the art in games and just writing about it.

Having read previous articles and also having retained my hobby for writing (even though I haven't been that regular in my gaming or personal blogs), I'd like to continue where I left off. Although I don't think that I'll be posting everyday like I did when I first made GamerTrust, I'll try my best to put out the content that you guys deserve. Just want to say thanks for reading.

The Next Battlefield Game is About..... Cops (?)

I've never actually been a big fan of the Battlefield series. I did enjoy the Battlefield 3 Multiplayer though (thanks to that Origin Humble Bundle). Overall, I thought that BF3 compared to CoD was more fun in terms of their multiplayer. While CoD put a greater importance on competition and being the absolute best in the entire game, BF3 was more lenient and gave you points for many things be it reviving a team mate, suppression assists etc.
