As many of you gamers and readers know, Titanfall is Xbox One's most important game to be released for the next-gen era. So the launch going smoothly is as important as the game itself, it being a multiplayer-only game and all.
Unfortunately, Titanfall's launch did not go smoothly... (which is the whole point of this article). Xbox Live just HAD to go down on the launch of the most significant money-maker in Xbox One history. For many excited gamers who wanted to get into the mech-shooting, wall-running, action, they were met with connection problems and login errors. How unfortunate.
I never liked the Xbox One, I didn't even know what their best game was before Titanfall. It was Titanfall's presence that - in my opinion - brought any attention to Microsoft's newest console in the first place. After the fiasco about the Xbox One being extremely "big brother" and with all the nonsensical rules about game sharing and what not, it's safe to say many people hated Xbox One, even after Microsoft finally changed their ridiculous rules.
But now, with all the Xbox One hate before its launch, their disappointing launch title in Ryse: Son of Rome and now Xbox Live screwing up their most anticipated game's launch. I can't help but feel a little sorry for Microsoft. Still doesn't mean I'm going to go get an Xbox One though.
At any rate, the Xbox Live problem lasted a couple of hours for some fortunate gamers. Other players were reportedly having problems much longer than that.
