What Titanfall Means For Xbox One

With the arrival of the next generation of gaming, we've seen plenty of eye-opening titles with some high-end gameplay. One of the ways we grade how a console is doing is from the exclusive games that are already, or will be released. There's always big hype around anything new especially when it is concerning new consoles. But no other game that I've seen has been hyped up as much as Titanfall (except, maybe Thief).

This picture alone is probably one of the most recognizable pictures in gaming these days. The amount of hype that was created around Titanfall is simply insane. In no way am I saying that the hype will be all in vain, Titanfall looks great and the gameplay mechanics (mainly the wall running) look awesome. After all the advertisements, Microsoft decided to go one step further with introducing an Xbox One bundle that includes Titanfall for $500. Microsoft has also decided to give their next-gen console a price cut of about 30 pounds in the UK.

Now here's where it gets a little more interesting. As of March 11th - Titanfall's release date - people who buy the discounted Xbox one will receive a free Titanfall code along with their console, but is the supposed 20 GB installation really worth 30 pounds? or would you rather get the Xbox One Titanfall bundle for the original price of the Xbox One?

Whatever the case, the picture has been made more and more clear how important Titanfall is to the Xbox One and this bundle completes that picture. It just shows how high the demand for this one game is. Just imagine had it been released for the PS4 as well, The Xbox One would undoubtedly loose this generation's console war. But no, Titanfall HAD to be an Xbox one exclusive, Just like inFamous: Second Son HAD to be PS4 exclusive. It's simply just competition. And when one game can send consoles flying off the shelf like Titanfall will, Microsoft's Xbox One gives itself a legitimate chance to contend against the hugely successful Playstation 4.
