Loadout Would Be Better 5v5

About recently, there was quite the major update for Edge of Reality's third person shooting game, Loadout.
The update implements the new domination mode and other minor additions like a few new gun attachments and whatnot. For those of you who don't know, Domination is your basic capture-and-hold-3-bases game mode.

After playing the new domination mode - and enjoying it - for a couple of hours, I've started to realize that although the 4v4 format works well enough with all the other maps and modes. 4v4 simply doesn't cut it for a wide and "running-heavy" game mode like domination. There are 3 points in the map and only 4 players. That would mean that at 2 points there would be 1 player each and at 1 point there would be 2 players. And in medium size maps that are present in Loadout, 4v4 domination is simply not fun enough.

Don't get me wrong though, I've had some wonderful and awesome times playing domination but those wonderful times come few and far between. The games are constantly brought down when there's an unbalanced team and especially when someone leaves the game. 3 on 4 matches put ANY 3 man team at a severe disadvantage against complete 4 man teams even if the 3 man team is a really good one. This is definitely because Loadout is a team game, It's not like Call of Duty where 1 man can pretty much dominate the entire enemy team. Loadout asks players to use a little more strategy and planning in order to kill enemies. Unlike faster paced shooters, it takes a while to kill anyone in Loadout, unless of course they're outnumbered. There are more opportunities to flank enemies that are running away, whether its catching them at a turn or surprising them from above. And with 4v4 in modes like Jackhammer (capture the flag) and Domination the game would certainly be more fun with 5 players on each team.

Sure, with 5 players, the score gets divided more which means we probably won't be getting as big a score as we used to but Loadout focuses more on winning than on stats. Although, it does feel good to get the highest score out of everyone. If the game were to adopt a 5v5 format, then the affects of 1 player leaving would be less damaging to the team. Especially, since we know that playing with 4 players (even though against 5) is still possible.

Playing with 5 players in each team would also mean that those moments where you're just running and running would be lessened. More instances of running, jumping and trying to blow your enemies up would definitely be the case with 5v5 matches. Edge of Reality should definitely consider putting another major update in the coming weeks that introduces 5 versus 5 matches instead of 4 on 4. With the size of the maps and the kinds of game modes in Loadout, I don't see why 5v5 would be so bad. What do you think? Is Loadout better with 5v5? Comment below!
